Updated:

The Email SMTP Module within FlowMattic is an essential feature that facilitates seamless integration with any SMTP provider, ensuring that your emails are reliably delivered directly to the recipient’s inbox. This module is designed to enhance email communication by providing robust options for sending emails.

Configuration Options

Email Provider

  • WP Default: This option should be selected if you have configured SMTP settings via any WordPress plugin. It is a straightforward choice for users who have existing SMTP configurations.

  • FlowMattic Default: This allows you to set up SMTP settings directly within the FlowMattic environment. It offers a more integrated approach to email management, enabling you to customize your email delivery settings within FlowMattic itself.

  • Custom SMTP: For those who require a more tailored setup, this option allows you to input specific SMTP details directly into your workflow, providing maximum flexibility and control over email sending parameters.

When choosing your preferred method of sending emails, it is important to note that the WP Default option does not provide error reporting, which may be a consideration for troubleshooting and ensuring successful email delivery.

From Name

This field is where you input the name that will appear as the sender of the email. It is crucial for establishing the identity of the email sender.

From Email

This is the email address from which the email will be sent. It is important to note that if you are using SMTP with the WP Default option, this setting will not be applicable, as the WP Default configuration sends emails exclusively from the email address specified in the SMTP settings.

Reply-to Email

Here, you can specify the email address that will be used as the reply address. It is advisable to ensure that this is different from the ‘From Email’ address. If they are the same, you may choose to skip this field. Additionally, the WP Default configuration will disregard this setting when used with SMTP plugins.

To Email Required

This field is mandatory and requires the email address of the recipient to whom the email will be sent.

CC Email

In this section, you can enter the email addresses of recipients who should receive a carbon copy of the email. Multiple email addresses can be included, separated by commas. For example: [email protected], [email protected].

BCC Email

This field allows you to enter the email addresses of recipients who should receive a blind carbon copy of the email. Similar to the CC field, multiple email addresses can be included, separated by commas. For example: [email protected], [email protected].

Email Subject Required

This is a required field where you enter the subject of your email, which is crucial for conveying the purpose or topic of the email to the recipient.

Email Body Required

This field is where you input the main content of the email, which can be in HTML or plain text format. To insert a dynamic tag within the email body, simply type ‘@’ at the desired location, and a popup will appear, allowing you to select the appropriate dynamic tag.

Attachments

This option allows you to attach files to your email, providing additional information or resources to the recipient.
